Are you interested in electronics, mechanical design, or just like cars that go fast? then check out Illini formula electric. IFE is a student run team and each year we design and build an all electric open wheel race car for the intercollegiate FSAE competition.
Currently we are working on this years competition car, Artemis, and continuing to develop our 2022 car, Zephyr. Zephyr is a radical departure from past cars, and will be our first four wheel drive car.
The team is made up of subsystems that focus on a specific area of the car, we have suspension, chassis, drivetrain, aerodynamics, integration, tractive, data acquisition, and media. Everything is open to all majors and no experience is required to join, we will teach you everything you need to know.
