The Illini Solar Car team harnesses the skills from a diverse group of students in engineering and non-engineering fields in pursuit of creating the world’s best solar electric vehicle. Through hands-on, interdisciplinary work that fosters real-world applications, we spark sustainable thinking by designing and building a road-legal car to compete in international competitions. We have five subgroups: Business, Media, Electrical, Mechanical, and Telemetry & Strategy. All majors are welcome and no experience is necessary!
