About Us
The Engineering Information Bureau is one of 12 committees in Engineering Council. Our programs are developed and implemented entirely by current engineering students and are designed to inform interested individuals and groups, most often prospective students and their parents.
Our Programs
ENGINEERING DAYS
Engineering Days is one of the best ways for prospective engineering students to see what being an engineer is all about. The University of Illinois and Engineering Council would like to invite you to attend the next program!

As a high school student, you have probably begun to consider different majors of study and which school to attend after graduation. You will have many questions. Engineering Days can begin to help answer these questions even if you're merely thinking about a career in engineering.

During the course of the day, you will learn about the different engineering fields, visit cutting-edge labs, talk to current college students about life as an engineering student, and get a good look at one of the nation's top-rated engineering universities. For more information on what a typical Engineering Day is made up of, please see the sample schedule here.

If you are interested in an additional tour of residence halls check out the Hall Tours given by the University.
The cost of registration is $20, or $40 if a parking space is needed. Each additional guest is $10.

SHADOW AN ENGINEER
Shadow an Engineer allows visiting students to spend a day with a current UIUC engineering student and experience campus life firsthand. Visiting students will sit in on lectures, and most importantly, get time to talk to current students about their experiences.

The program will be run on an individual basis to better serve the needs of our visitors. Dates and times are entirely customized with the intention of serving students who cannot attend our current offerings or are looking for a more personalized campus visit.
ENGINEERING WEBINARS
Engineering Webinars are hosted three times each semester. Our live webinars give prospective engineers the opportunity to hear about engineering majors, academics, applications, and campus life. Additionally, at the end of each session, you will get the opportunity to ask current students and an engineering dean any questions you may have.
Upcoming Webinars:
February 6th, 7:00-8:30 PM
March 12th, 7:00-8:30 PM
April 17th, 7:00-8:30 PM

(Webinar sessions open 5 minutes before the above start times)
